OurHub is run from Vancouver by Jesse Ross. Most of the sites I have built so far are for people here: a beach volleyball coach in Kitsilano, a kinesiologist, a dietitian, a tribute act, a sex educator. Flat prices, built by hand, from $500.

Vancouver has no shortage of agencies. What it lacks is someone who will build a coach or a contractor a good site for a few hundred dollars and then keep it running for a hundred dollars a year. That is the whole idea here.

What local search needs from a Vancouver site

Someone searching "electrician North Vancouver" or "physio Kitsilano" gets a map with three businesses and then a list of pages. To be in either, you need a Google Business Profile that matches your website, your neighbourhood or city in the page title, structured data so Google knows you are a local business, and a handful of reviews. Complete-package sites include all of that setup. Starter sites get the on-page part.

How it works from here

1. Fill out the two-minute form.
2. We talk for 30 minutes on video, or in person if you are in the city and prefer that.
3. I send a preview in three to five business days. You give notes. It goes live when you are happy.
